Before you apply
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to provide accurate profile information.
- You are responsible for holding the skills, licences, permits, insurance and tax registration your service category requires under Kenyan law.
- Service providers are independent users of the Tunga marketplace, not employees or agents of Tunga.
- Identity verification is required before you can go live and receive bookings.

Is it free to join Tunga Provider?
Yes. Creating a provider profile is free. Tunga charges a platform fee only when you complete a job, paid through Paystack by card or M-Pesa.
Do I need to complete verification?
Yes. Tunga requires identity verification before a provider can go live and receive bookings, to help keep the marketplace safe for customers.
Who sets the price for a job?
You agree the price directly with the customer before starting work. Tunga does not set prices and is not a party to that agreement.
Does Tunga process customer payments?
No. Customers and providers settle payment for the service directly with each other, outside the app. Providers pay Tunga a platform fee for each completed job.
What happens if I don't pay the platform fee?
Tunga may restrict your access to new bookings while a platform fee is unpaid or disputed, as described in the Terms and Conditions.
Can I offer more than one service category?
Yes, as long as you have the skills, qualifications, licences and permits required for each service you offer.
